Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Riverview Six to Sunset Concert - Nu Shooz

Riverview Community Bank and the City of Vancouver are proud to present the FREE Six to Sunset Concert Series every Thursday evening from July 6 to August 10 in Esther Short Park in the heart of downtown Vancouver.

Nu Shooz is an American Freestyle-R&B-Dance group fronted by husband-and-wife team of John Smith and Valerie Day, and based in Portland, Oregon. They played their first gig on June, 21, 1979 at Col. Summers Park in Portland. In 1986, their single “I Can't Wait” reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second single "Point of No Return" reached #28 and they were nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy in 1987. After a lengthy hiatus from the world of music, the husband and wife team are back on the road as part of the Super Freestyle Explosion Tour with a live eight piece band.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and your dinner, or purchase food from vendors in the park. Smoking, alcohol and BBQ grills are not permitted in the park.
