Free Vancouver TreeTalk Workshop on Tree Pruning
Want to improve your pruning skills and get more hands-on experience? Join Vancouver Urban Forestry in this free Tree & Shrub Pruning TreeTalk Workshop from 10 am to noon on Friday, Feb. 21 at the Jane Weber Arboretum. You'll learn proper, and improper, tree pruning tips from the Urban Forestry team!
Pruning is an important tree care practice that helps trees grow up healthy, saves property owners money, and reduces safety hazards in the area. You'll get a chance to ask your pruning questions, get hands-on experience, and become more familiar with proper tree and plant management. We'll also cover the basics of shrub pruning!
Meet in the parking lot of the Jane Weber Arboretum between 9:45 and 10 am for registration. Participants are also encouraged to bring bypass hand pruners and gloves to the workshop. If you don't have these, Urban Forestry will also have some to share. Please be sure to dress for the weather.
Let's get pruning!
