Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Clark Green Neighbors event calendar

Free Shred Event

Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10:00am - 02:00pm

Two Locations: 

In Vancouver at 192nd Ave & Mill Plain Blvd. (next to JCPenny)

In Longview at 820 12th Ave (behind Fibre Federal Credit Union)

Stop by with up to 3 paper-size boxes per car of sensitive documents to be securely shredded and recycled, from 10-am - 2pm, or until the trucks are full. Donations of non-perishable food items or cash will be accpeted for area food banks as well.


The SWW Chapter of Credit Unions is proud to host shred day!
Shred day is a volunteer opportunity for credit union employees to assist fellow community members dispose of private or sensitive documents. The event will take place in Clark and Cowlitz County. The event will run from 10am - 2pm on April 20th. We suggest you dress in layers and prepare for rain as the northwest weather can be active this time of the year. If you're interested in volunteering for the event please RSVP.
