Help us search high and low for one of the most devious and devastating of all of the invasive weeds, knotweed! You will be trained how to identify knotweed before setting out with your team leader to walk along the streams looking for it. You must be able to navigate over uneven terrain and through thick vegetation. Please note that this is a very physically demanding activity and may require walking in the stream and over steep terrain. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. Training, tools, and gloves provided at all events. Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes – rainboots or waders provided upon request.
You must be 16 to participate. Volunteers under the age of 18 who will not be accompanied by their legal guardian will need to bring a signed copy of a guardian release which can be found using the following link.
