Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

One the Road Tour - Olives

WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners presents: On the Road Tour-Olives; Tree to Table on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Our tour will begin at the Oregon Olive Mill in Dayton, Oregon where we can view 17 acres of olive trees, explore the process of making extra virgin olive oil and visit their gift shop. Next we’ll browse Gardener’s Choice’s 11,000 square foot facility in Tigard with pots, containers, fountains, planters, statuary and garden art. Last we’ll learn the history of Cornell Farms, visit their five acres of indoor and outdoor plants near Portland and have a demonstration of bulb layering in pots.  Lunch is on your own at Babica Hen Café, Dundee, Oregon.

This tour includes van transportation and begins and ends at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 9319 NE HWY 99, Hazeldell, WA.
