Ever wanted to learn about Fort Vancouver’s fruit tree history? Join us in the apple orchard at Fort Vancouver National Historic to learn about how they’ve managed the orchard in a historically accurate manner and to help tend to the trees before harvest season comes around. We will start this event with a brief discussion on the orchard’s rich history as a department of the Hudson Bay trading company, followed by a work party in the orchard doing some light pruning, weeding, and mulching. These spring maintenance events are essential to ensuring the health of these fruit trees for harvest season, so RSVP for your spot today! See you there :)
