Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

2018 Green Gala

Mark your calendars for the 2018 Green Gala! Keynote address, Green Awards, free food and fun!

This Green Gala is a fun celebration of sustainability in our community, and is hosted by Clark County at Kiggins Theater in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. At this event, awards are presented and a local leader in sustainability will give a keynote address – all to inspire the community to take action!

Now Accepting Green Award Nominations:

  • Green Business of the Year (small and large)
  • Green Apple of the Year

Winners of the green awards will be announced at the Green Gala. If you know businesses or school employees that are inspirational in the green community, nominate them for these green awards! Other awards to be presented include the Green Neighbor of the Year and the Grand Master Composter awards. Deadline for nominations is extended to December 8, 2017.
