We are so excited to recognize 4 years of our program on Sunday, October 16.  Please join us at the Water Resources Education Center to celebrate this milestone by welcoming Dr. Robert Michael Pyle. Dr. Pyle is a lifelong ecologist from the Grays River area.  He has written numerous books about the natural world including everything from Monarch Butterflies to Bigfoot. On this day, we will celebrate the release of Dr. Pyle's new book, Through a Green Lens, Fifty years of Writing for Nature.  He will share with us the stories of his life as a nature-enthusiast, author, scientist, and teacher.  Dr. Pyle is also the founder of the Xerces Society.  You can learn more about him on Wikipedia.

Beginning in mid-September, we will have rocks hidden throughout Clark County as part of the Vancouver Rocks movement!  Find a rock, bring it in to show us at this event, and take home a special Green Neighbors prize!  This is all because Green Neighbors and Robert Michael Pyle rock!

Doors will open at 1:00, event begins at 1:30 with plenty of Q&A time following Dr. Pyle's talk.  There will be an opportunity to purchase Dr. Pyle's books and get them signed, thanks to our friends and partners at Vintage Books.
