Nominate Your Green Neighbor Hero for the 2020 Green Awards!
Nominations are open for the Green Neighbor of the Year Award!
If you know someone who demonstrates outstanding efforts to continually reduce their environmental footprint and influences others in the community to do the same, show your appreciation by nominating them at the link below before January 10th. You can even nominate yourself. The 2020 Green Awards will take place Wednesday, March 18th at Kiggins Theatre from 6-7:30.
Citizens who qualify demonstrate initiative in day-to-day actions that protect the environment, demonstrate a sustainable lifestyle and show that they are willing to go beyond what is typical in order to be "green" at home. This nominee is a role-model for others and exemplifies a healthy lifestyle that minimizes environmental impact.
Last year's winner, Kris Potter, has been involved with the St. Joseph Parish Garden, which grows organic produce for low-income residents, and helps teach nature studies and gardening classes to local youth.
