Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Neighborhood Trees Crew Leader Training

Crew Leaders are trained volunteers who are crucial to plant trees properly and lead groups of volunteers at more than 80 different planting events this planting season. Friends of Trees is aiming to plant more than 3,000 street and yard trees in our award-winning Neighborhood Trees program. The November 12th training is taking place in West Vancouver. We are hosting another training Crew Leader training in Portland, OR on November 5th, if that works better for your schedule. Curriculum for each training is the same and once completed, you will be able to volunteer at Neighborhood Trees events throughout Portland, Vancouver, and Oregon City! The training is free (and includes lunch and a t-shirt!) but registration is required.
