Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Foraging 101: A Beginner's Guide to Edible & Medicinal Plants of the PNW

For as long as people have lived in this region, native plants have provided them with a rich diversity of food and medicine. Join us for an introductory course and walk away with a deeper appreciation of the gifts of our local forests. This class will cover the history of foraging in the region, foraging ethics and introduce participants to a few key edible and medicinal plants. This class will be indoor/outdoor, with some walking required.

Fees: Naturescaping members free or $15.00 for non-members. Membership per year is $20.00 ($15.00) for seniors.
