Volunteer with the City of Vancouver and pull english ivy at Biddlewood park. The ivy is starting to grow up the trees, and the earlier we remove it, the better for everyone!
This 7-acre park services both the Riveridge and Wildwood neighborhoods in east Vancouver. A large woodland with informal walking trails creates lots of great bird watching opportunities. Biddlewood is a large neighborhood park and a great community gathering place for school groups from the nearby elementary school and for family activities.
Training, gloves, tools, water and snacks will be provided. This opportunity is family friendly and great for teens - people of all ages and abilities are welcome! Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Youth under 18 must bring a signed minor consent form.
