Invasive Plant Removal at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge
Work alongside others at the beautiful Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge! You will play a key role in helping biological staff keep wetlands healthy by searching for and removing invasive ricefield bulrush. You will also have opportunities to learn about native wildlife management and view amazing wetland wildlife.
Work parties are every Wednesday and Saturday from July 2nd to September 3rd, 9am - 12:30pm. Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks are provided. Please dress for the weather and bring waterproof boots (some available onsite). Volunteers under 18 must have volunteer paperwork signed by a parent/guardian, and volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required.
