Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

The Gorge Art Show Opening

During the month of May The Dalles Art Center will be featuring “The Gorge: Bold & Diverse” exhibit featuring the artwork of Christine Knowles, Randye Jensen, and JoDean Sarins. Christine and Randye will showcase bright and familiar Gorge landscapes in pastel and JoDean will capture portraits of the Gorge in enameled and cloisonné jewelry.
  
The opening reception will be held on May 4 from 5 – 7 p.m. at The Dalles Art Center. Enjoy Quenett wine, fabulous artwork, and short presentations including one from Kevin Gorman, Friends’ Executive Director. Admission is free, all are welcome. 
  
The gallery exhibit is sponsored by Friends of the Columbia Gorge. All three artists are long time Friends supporters who draw inspiration from the splendors of the Scenic Area. The artists will donate 10%  percent of show sales to Friends.
