Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Kids Fishing Festival

Join us for a day filled with fishy fun as kids ages 5-14 fish for trout at the Columbia Springs hatchery with a fishing mentor that we provide.

Every registered kid will get a fishing pole and tackle to take home! The festival also features a BBQ lunch and activities like catching water-bugs, a scavenger hunt, crafts and more!

Registration is required for participation. Registration closes on May 3. Tickets are $7 per person when you purchase your tickets online before the event; or $9 via cash or check at the event. Scholarships may be available for families of children who receive free/reduced lunch at school.
