Road Cycling 101 Stress-free Skills & Safety

Monday, April 15, 2019, 05:30pm - 07:00pm
Contact   360-607-3271
Do you know how to ride but are concerned about safety on the road, how to best shift those many gears, or afraid you'll get a flat tire? Just getting started or starting again? You're in luck!

The Vancouver Bicycle Club is offering a free ride series on Monday nights at 5:30 p.m. from March 11 through May 27 at McLoughlin Middle School, 5802 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver. Rides begin at 5:45 p.m. We'll cover bike-related topics including helmet fitting, rules of the road, equipment/gear, safety/street smarts, and how to choose rides and routes. Post-ride there will be plenty of time for Q&A and social networking.

Helmets are required, so bring your bike in good working order with your tires aired up. This is a no-drop ride. Children are welcome if they are safe to ride on the street and are in the company of a parent or guardian. See you there!
