Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

MLK Day Tree Planting at Sandy River Delta | The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership !--
Help your community by improving our local natural areas! Every year for Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service, the Estuary Partnership engages community members in "a day on, not a day off" of planting trees to enhance habitat and improve water quality.

Your plantings will be part of a larger effort by many partners to restore the Sandy River. Read about the Estuary Partnership-led restoration of the mouth of the river here.All ages welcome! Fun for groups, families, and individuals. Registration is required - sign up online now.
