Hello , summer has arrived fashionably late, but just in time for our 17th annual Natural Garden Tour on Sunday, July 17! After two years of virtual events, we are opening it back up to the public and cannot wait to see you all!

Currently, block foam drop-off is temporarily suspended at our three transfer stations in Clark County. Kindred Homestead Supply will be collecting block foam July 18-22 at their store for a $5 fee.

Green Business of the Month

Green Business Spotlight: Columbia Springs

The 2022 Clark County Green Business of the Year Award in the Nonprofit/Government Organization category is presented to Columbia Springs. Columbia Springs, a local nonprofit, provides accessible environmental education to the Clark County community. Columbia Springs has incorporated many sustainable practices into the organization, including specialized recycling efforts, the use of non-toxic green cleaning products and a stormwater management system which includes a rain garden and green roof.

Pacific Park Natural Garden - Volunteer Opportunity

9 am - 12 pm, Saturday, July 30
Join the WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners for some maintenance at the Pacific Park Natural Garden demonstration site. These inspiring gardens have been getting a makeover and there are some projects you can help with. The gardens are located at the SW corner of NE 18th St & NE 172nd Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684. Bring water and dress for the weather.

Join Naturescaping of SW Washington for this year's Art in the Garden! Explore local artisan booths, listen to live music, shop for perennials and shrubs, and watch composting and spinning demonstrations.

Poop Smart Clark Open House

6 - 7 pm, Thursday, July 14
Do you want poop in our local waterways? If not, come learn about ways Clark Conservation District is helping Clark County residents clean it up with the Poop Smart Clark program. This open house will be a showcase of resources that the Conservation District can provide like best practices for how to take care of your land and livestock, site visits with environmental experts and ways that landowners can even get reimbursed ($$$!) for septic repairs and inspections.
