August News from Clark County Green Neighbors

August News from Clark County Green Neighbors

August 2024 ‍

Hello Visitor,

It seems like this summer has just flown by! If you haven't already, be sure to check out some of the local farmer's markets or explore the many local farm stands, U-picks and other outlets for locally grown food. Nothing says waste prevention like getting fresh, locally grown food that doesn't require nearly as much transportation, processing, storage - or packaging! As an added bonus, local food is usually more flavorful, nutritious and it stimulates the local economy. If you aren't sure where to shop for local food, try using the Eat Local First Food and Farm Finder or try attending one of the Clark County Food System Council's Eat, Drink, & Be Local events to learn more about the local food system.

Read on for more Green Neighbors news and upcoming events!

Best wishes,

Green Neighbors
