Hello Visitor,
May is Bring Your Own Cup month in Clark County! Each disposable cup adds up. In Washington alone, 4.4 billion cups are disposed of in a year. That amounts to over 1 million trees that could be saved with just a little reuse. Many coffee shops welcome bringing your own cup, but if you need help finding one, visit BringYourCupWa.org to view the map of locations in our area. While you are there, be sure to take the online pledge to bring your own cup to be entered to win coffee shop gift cards in weekly drawings running through June 4.
Be sure to check out our latest blog for more information about bringing your own cup.
The Watershed Alliance of SW Washington's May film will be Burned: Are Trees the New Coal? The film tells the little-known story of the accelerating destruction of our forests for fuel, and probes the policy loopholes, huge subsidies, and blatant green washing of the burgeoning biomass power industry.
