Please join us at Esther Short Park for a Day of the Dead ancestral celebration to remember and honor those who have departed. Día de Muertos is truly a celebration of life, love and healing.

Experience beautiful luminarias, traditional Mexican dancing, music, guest artists, catrinas and an ofrenda of the beloved deceased. This free, family-friendly event will take place rain or shine.

En colaboración con la Ciudad de Vancouver, le invitamos a que nos acompañe en nuestro evento cultural y anual de Día de Muertos que se llevará a cabo nuevamente en Esther Short Park. El Día de Muertos es en realidad una celebración de conexión espiritual para todos. Disfrute de bailes tradicionales de México, hermosas luminarias, artistas invitados, catrinas y actividades relevantes para la familia. Se le invita a pasar la tarde con nosotros celebrando a la familia y honrando a nuestros ancestros por medio de coloridas instalaciones de arte.

Va a ver venta de comida y artesanias, premio al mejor catrin o catrina, actividades gratis para la familia, y mucho mas!

Join us to learn about the exciting projects, partners, and initiatives that bring hands-on learning to our local schools, including the creation of native plant and habitat gardens! This session is perfect for beginners or teachers looking to inspire their students to explore the outdoors and learn how to care for our local pollinators. This is a free event hosted by Vancouver Bee Project.

Event will be held in the Columbia Room.

Bring the whole family down for some Downtown Camas trick or treating, Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 from 3-5pm. Local businesses give out candy or neat Halloween prizes to all the kiddos. Seeing all the kids (and many parents, too!) dressed in costume is exceptionally fun. Always a few surprises as well! Come and enjoy your community! RAIN OR SHINE, WE WILL SEE YOU THERE! 

4th Avenue from Adams to Franklin and side streets from 3rd to 5th will be closed for the event to ensure children’s safety. Please no bikes, skateboards, or scooters. Parents please provide supervision when crossing streets.

Join us for spUUky Halloween family fun! There will be games, activities, crafts, and (for the brave) a Haunted House run by our Youth Group. This event is free to attend, so bring a friend and we’ll see you there!

The entire family is invited for a fun-filled night of carnival-themed activities, including carnival games, carnival prizes, the annual costume contest, inflatable games, photo booth (bring your camera!) and simple Fall crafts.  No registration required for the costume contest.  Children attending must be accompanied by an adult.   Bring your canned food or non-perishable items to benefit our local Treasure House.  Canned food donors will be eligible to win the night’s raffle basket.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Mason Bee Cocoon Cleaning event hosted by the Vancouver Bee Project! This hands-on event will teach you how to clean out your mason bee houses and cocoons, ensuring healthy bees for next season. We'll also cover common diseases that can impact mason bees and how to prevent them.

No RSVP is needed—just bring your mason bee houses and cocoons, and stop by at 11:30 PM. This is a free event, perfect for both beginners and seasoned bee enthusiasts! Let's work together to support our pollinators.

This event is designed to be engaging for people of all ages – from preschool age kids to elementary, middle, and high school students, and adults. All ages and backgrounds are welcome. Just bring your curiosity and be prepared for some nature fun!

How: Drop by when it works for you. No RSVP required!

It’s chum salmon season! On December 7th, welcome our returning salmon home at this family-friendly event hosted by the Wood & Gordon families.

Drop in when it works for you between 2pm-4pm! We will feature a couple of speakers at 3pm.

Park and meet us in the Columbia Springs parking lot at 2:00pm to walk as a group to the spawning site. OR park along Old Evergreen Highway at Riverwood Lane (at least 10 feet away from the train tracks) and walk in on your own! Please contact us at kristine@columbiasprings.org if you are in need of parking accommodations closer to the event.

We recommend that you bring polarized sunglasses and binoculars to maximize your viewing experience. This event is outside so dress for the weather, including rain gear, if the forecast calls for it.
