Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

WasteBusters 2019 is here! This annual waste-reduction challenge allows you to choose a pledge and complete tasks to win prizes. This year's challenge is March 1-20! Register and learn more here: https://wastebusters.green/

This year's grand prize is a stay at the Fulton House Bed and Breakfast in Portland! https://thefultonhouse.com/

This year's pledges: Eliminate disposable cups, bring your own bag, or plan your daily meals. 

Pick your pledge, register on the WasteBusters website, and start reducing waste. Watch for posts from the WasteBusters team page on the Challenge Dashboard. Throughout the challenge, we will prompt you on how to reduce waste and earn points. Make sure to check in periodically to share your progress and learn new ways to bust waste!

The challenge will begin with a Launch Party on March 1 at the Columbia Bank Community Room, and will end with the Green Awards at the Kiggins Theatre. Those who earn over 500 points will be entered to win prizes!
