Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program is coordinated by Clark County Public Health’s Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt.

Event Description: Join us for a vibrant Seed and Plant Swap at Kindred Homestead Supply on March 1st and 2nd! It's a plant lover's paradise where you can share the joy of gardening, connect with fellow plant enthusiasts, and bring home new green friends. 
 
How to Prepare:
Label Plants: Ensure your plants are labeled with their names for easy identification. - 
 
Propagation: Consider propagating cuttings or dividing clones to share with others. - 
 
Adoption Selection: Decide which plants you're willing to put up for adoption. 
 
How to Bring Cuttings: Use a plastic bag with water and a rubber band. - Wrap cuttings in a wet paper towel secured with string. - Bring them in test tubes or recycled glass salsa containers—get creative! 
 
What to Bring:
- Rooted cuttings 
- Plant babies 
- Full-grown plants 
 
 There's no limit—nothing is too small or too large! 
 
What to Know:
-This is a FREE event.
- You do not need to bring a plant to participate. 
- Be considerate of others and the space. 
- Monetary donations to keep swaps going are appreciated.
