The Hidden Journey of Wastewater
Have you ever wondered what happens to the water that goes down your drain? How far does it travel? Where does it go after it is cleaned? Join us for a tour of the City of Vancouver’s Marine Park Wastewater Treatment Plant to learn about the unseen journey of wastewater.
After the treatment plant tour, embark on a nature walk to the Columbia River to learn about the riparian ecosystem. The treatment plant tour and nature walk will last approximately one hour each.
Tour participants must be 10 years of age or older and wear closed toe shoes. The tour will occur both inside and outside, rain or shine. Please dress for all weather conditions. For the stroll to the Columbia River, expect to walk 1.5 miles on paved pathways and uneven and sandy beaches.
Advance registration is required. Please note that space is limited. You will receive a confirmation letter with full event details and meeting location after registration.
