World Migratory Bird Day with Vancouver Audubon
Saturday, October 12 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Vancouver Audubon Society is celebrating World Migratory Bird Day to recognize the important and spectacular feat of bird migration! This annual global celebration was created to build awareness for migratory birds, their habitats, and flyways. No registration required for this free event, and people of all ages and abilities are welcome!
The day will include bird walks, games, activities, and food trucks!
Volunteers Needed: If you or someone you know would like to help with this event, contact Becky Boley HERE. Youth volunteers strongly encouraged! No birding experience required.
Community Shred Event at Beautiful Savior Lutheran

Beautiful Savior Lutheran is hosting a shred day fundraiser for their 30th year of the Mexico Mission of building homes in Tijuana.
Requesting $5 donation, 2 box limit. Paper Only: Bring documents in file/bankers boxes or Paper Grocery Bags)
Papers with staples, paper clips, and binder clips are allowed
No plastic covers, 3-ring binders or spiral notebooks
10am-1pm (or until truck is full)
Perennial Bulb & Seed Swap (& More)

Get those excess plants potted up; gather up your overage of seeds and bulbs and bring them to NatureScaping & WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners 7th annual Perennial, Bulb and Seed Swap to be held outdoors at the Wildlife Botanical Gardens 11000 NE 149th Street, Brush Prairie, WA.
**CASEE Center will be opening their greenhouse to sell natives.
Guidelines:
Perennials & bulbs should be potted or in sturdy plastic bags
Fresh collected seeds in individual envelopes or baggies by variety
Viable store bought seed packets
Label items as well as possible (i.e. botanical or common name, size, sun/shade, wet/dry, bloom time, plant height)
Plants should be well watered and pest free
Please NO invasive plants
