Join the WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener program for an on-the-road- tour and leave the driving to us!  It’s springtime again! Time to get your hands dirty and watch the flowers bloom!

Our first stop on the tour is the A&R nursery. Eighty acres are devoted to grass farming and the remaining eight acres is for the plant nursery. They have a wonderful selection of flowering plants in their greenhouses plus several acres of trees and shrubs. Lisa will be giving a talk on a selection of plants that can be found in the nursery.

Our next stop is Tsugawa Nursery. They have over five acres of retail space and specialize in Japanese maples, bonsai, and water gardens with an emphasis on the new and unusual! Their expert on native plants will give a talk on spring pollinators.

Our last stop is the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens. Cost: $35 plus $10 cash for entry to the Hulda Klager Garden. The gardens are a restoration project to honor Hulda Klager. We will be able to tour the 1800 ‘s house while we celebrate the Lilac Days and their 50th anniversary.

Lunch is on your own at Los Pepe's. Shopping is available at all three stops. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Vans depart from and return to Enterprise Rental (Hazel Dell/Vancouver). Register by April 17 here.  Contact: Erika.d.johnson@wsu.edu / .
