Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program is coordinated by Clark County Public Health’s Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt.

Cesar Chavez Day of Service Event at Pacific Park Natural Demo Garden

Join WSU Clark County Master Gardeners and people from across the county and around the world for a day of community service in honor of Cesar Chavez. Chavez was a civil rights, Latino and farm labor leader; a community organizer and social entrepreneur; a champion of militant nonviolent social change; and a crusader for the environment and consumer rights. Help spiff up the Natural Demonstration Garden at Pacific Park on Saturday, April 6 from 10am to 12noon. Tasks will include winter clean up, weeding, pruning and whatever else is needed. Dress for the weather. Bring water. Tools provided. We’ll start with a brief tour of the recent design updates and then get to work on tasks including weeding, laying down pavers and whatever else is needed.
