Green Neighbors Program

The Clark County Green Neighbors Program was developed and is maintained by Clark County Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt. Funding for this project provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Hay algunos artículos que la compañía Waste Collections va a recoger para ser reciclados los cuales pueden ser colocados al lado de la acera en vez de adentro del contenedor grande azul.

Botellas de vidrio y frascos: Enjuague las botellas y frascos y colóquelos en un cubo o balde de 5 galones al lado del contenedor. Descarte las tapas.

Aceite para motor y Anticongelante - Coloque éstos materiales en un bidón transparente de un galón con un tapón a rosca (p.ej. bidón de leche). NO mezcle aceite para motor y anticongelantes entre sí o con algún otro material como agua o fluídos automotrices. Colóquelos al lado de la acera al lado del contenedor.

Baterías y pilas domésticas — Cierre las puntas con cinta pegante y colóquelas en una bolsa de plástico transparente sellada encima de la tapa del contenedor grande azul. Las baterías que son aceptadas incluyen las de un uso (descartables) y las recargables AA, AAA, C, D, pilas de botón, y pilas para audífonos y relojes. Nunca coloque baterías o pilas en el contenedor de reciclaje.
