Green Business Spotlight: Pacific Cascade Corporation

PCC-Logo

Pacific Cascade Corporation is the most recent addition to the Clark County Green Business Program. As one of the largest parking supply companies in North America, this Vancouver-based company and their subsidiaries offer a full array of parking and traffic enforcement products. Customers include public and private parking facilities, valet services, airport facilities, schools, small businesses, and many others.

Employees are able to take advantage of the garden at their office.

Their path toward becoming a green business was filled with lots of projects both big and small. The dedicated green leaders documented environmentally friendly practices and put lots of green initiatives in place to ear recognition. They started recycling programs for batteries, film plastics and even highlights, and they also collect food scraps and coffee grounds for composting.

One of their biggest accomplishments was a dramatic reduction in paper use. By modifying a couple of steps of their process, they were able to eliminate paper copies of documents needed to fulfill orders and track payments. They also now purchase post-consumer recycled content copy paper.

GreenDrop Recycling Station

Pacific Cascade Corporation promotes environmental stewardship at their site and to their customers. To assist with recycling at public places and events, Pacific Cascade Corporation offers the GreenDrop Recycling Station. If you've ever been to an event at Portland's Moda Center and had an item to recycling, there's a good chance you've seen their system in action. They also offer green cleaning products and plan to add more environmentally friendly products in the future.
